Johnson has been the TranSouth Pitcher of the Week seven times this year and is being honored by Region XI for the fifth time. Coonce has been the TranSouth Player of the week twice and is being honored by Region XI for the first time. Johnson was named NAIA Pitcher of the Week earlier this season.

Coonce, a 6-foot-0 junior from Goreville, Ill., helped Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University to a 6-0 week. She had two multiple home run games hitting three against Crichton (Tenn.) College and two more against Lyon (Ark.) College to finish the week with five homeruns. She also had two doubles, knocked in eight runs and scored 13 times. The NAIA No. 4 are Trojans currently 36-4 overall and are 27-1 in the TranSouth.

Johnson, a 5-foot-10 senior from Pulaski, Tenn., had a 6-0 week in the circle for the Trojans. She didn’t allow an earned run all week while she struck out 27 batters in 18.2 innings of work. Johnson became just the third player in NAIA history to record 1,000 strike outs. She did so with her 6th strike out in the fourth inning of TNU's 10-1 win over Lambuth (Tenn.) University.

Trevecca is ranked No. 1 in the latest NAIA Region XI ranking.
